the Mets especially have to find a heart, not talent.

As for the mets they need to find a bullpen for 2009 that is the reason why they lost in 2008. Had nothing to do with heart, they had no closer, they had a bunch of guys that weren't very good in the bullpen.

Well, the rules are changing in NY this year; looks like the Mets will be the Yankees of the NL.

The Mets didn't even spend the Most I think in the NL last year. I think the cubs spent more. As for them this year. Yes they signed K-rod and Traded for Putz, but Heilman was probably getting a couple of Million. Chavez Might of been getting a Million. Alou at 8 Million off the books. Pedro at 13 Million off the books El Duque At 7 Million off the books. Yes they have to still add a couple of things and they might net slightly higher, but not as much as you think they are. Consider K-rod and Putz will only cost around 14 Million combined this year, and sure it will go up next year to about 20 Million, but wagners 10 Million payroll also comes off next year. So they haven't rewritten the rules here, the Mets are spending money I'm not denying that, but it is also coming off as well.

As Much as I don't like to defend the Yankees. I mean Abreu 15 Million is coming off, Giambi 20 Million+, Mussina probably had to be getting around 13-15 Million. Pavano 10 Million. So they are really not adding payroll so far, but I have a feeling when they are done they will be adding significantly. Just my opinion.

---All above is just my humble opinion.
And I could always be wrong.
And as always do your own DD.---
