Sorry if I oversimplified things a bit.

...What would happen to shorty if for some reason WAMI stock suddenly moved up on good news?

I guess for the sake of those oblvious, I should have said: IMO, JP Morgan as a hedge to it's acquisition of WMI, they(indirectly) shorted WAMI.

BTW, excellant post MADA124, nice find. Kind of tells the story regarding JPM's MO.
