i know the market thinks ahead and prices in many bad factors. but the fact that a certain unemployment rate was expected and ended up much worse than expected should make the market tank, imo.

i think that

large unemployment + lower wages = less output from corporations and less revenues

but i agree on the point that the market is really far down right now. since 11.21.08 the market wants to go up imo, you can feel the upward pressure.
