What are all those small systematic sells at the bid about that I see here day after day?

One would naturally think if they were retail selling, they would be dumping in bigger lots wouldn't you think? Unless of course someone just wanted to support their broker with extra fees I suppose, of course whoever is selling maybe doesn't pay fees?

Could there be an interest in whacking the bid in an effort to keep the pps low while basket buys are being made? Are those basket buys made by the same entity that has been systematically whacking the bid? I suppose if one wanted to accumulate at a low price without raising any eyebrows or chasing, that would be one way to do it. That way the pps closes low.

Not necessarily what they call a "neutral cushion" at the (horse) race track lol.
