I'm not sure, but the FTD date has usually been allowed to stretch to 14 days. To me, it wouldn't make sense for them to have the option to say, "well, we obviously way oversold this one and we are going to need much more time to dig ourselves out"

I have the same doubts as you, I think this thing is between 1 and 2 billion oversold, I think there is a reasonable chance that the market makers will find a way to screw us.

I also think that they have been shorting this stock down from .95 and have made quite a bit doing so, not only with this stock, but with many others. I think that as the price escalates and by the time the price hits .01 A LOT of people will have flipped out of it. If 1billion were short, and they replaced that entire billion at .01 (nevermind all the flippers inbetween) thats only $10 mil, which is peanuts to them. And when you think about it, at .01, your $1000 investment would be $100,000. For these people that have $5k invested it would be half a million. (assuming they loaded down here) Not many people are going to have the intestinal fortitude to let that ride. And when you think about it, if they shorted just the estimated free float down from .95, just on this one stock, they would have made around $25 million. If covering ends up costing $24 million, thats still a pretty good take. Plus add in all other stocks they have shorted and never had to cover, its millions, even if they had to take a loss on this one it's no bid deal.

Trust me, a lot of the people you see here will sell out early on in it's ascent, a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush.
