imo, if one were in deep S trouble, and had deep pockets [possibly as a result of selling billions of shares, doesnt it make sense to go to a high profile attorney?
[one could ask the likes of OJ Simpson, etc]
further, my guess is to a firm that has the knowledge and experience as it pertains to SEC litigation

lets look at this portion of the june 16 PR:

"...to resolve the problems it has been facing..."

and imo most importantly
"...company has advised us that it is dedicated to complying fully with all requirements on it..."


and then the june 18 PR:

"...Casavantmining.com has been temporarily shut down..."
"...An investigation into the improper use of the Message Board is expected to be launched by the Company shortly..."

back to the june 16 PR:
"...problems it has been facing...complying fully with all requirements on it..."
imo, it can be argued that the problems it has been facing and complying with all requirements on it could very easily be regarding breach of reg FD and improper/misleading dissemination of material info...further, imo, the wording suggests an accusatory tone rather than a defensive one

additionally, taking into account the law firms statement in the june 16 pr of "...we expect to devote significant efforts immediately toward that goal..."
and that 2 days later, after indicating their "significant immediate effort" that it was determined "...shutting down the message board to "ensure proper use", and that "An investigation into the improper use of the Message Board is expected to be launched by the Company shortly.", gives imo a fairly clear indication to the direction of E&A's efforts and who it is that may need a defense team
