Yes it does. It shows demand or lack of. You will usually get higher prints in the pre-mkt than where the stock will actually open. Desparate people want in thinking they will miss the boat. They would probably get a better price if they waited for the regular session to open.

Your $48 closing guess is pie in the sky wishful thinking. Good luck with it tho.
