Had a small problem several weeks ago and got the answer needed here. Thought I'd try it again.

Seems like everywhere I turn, there's a slew of virus sales people pounding down my door.

It's realized viruses can be caught from e-mail attachements. I however don't even look at them other than for a review as most of them are junk anyway and go right into my spam file.

My question is, can a virus be caught just from surfing the web on dialup?

I do run Macafee, which is automatically updated but am wondering if I'm being scammed?
