I got hit on the head with a magic wand yesterday and it has gotten me thinking.

There is always a gimmick with penny stocks.

At one point...a company would declare a spinoff where the shareholder would get X amount of shares of another stock for every share of the main stock that they owned. Leading up to the date of the dividend there would be a buying frenzy! The smart people would sell just before the dividend date because inevitably the price of the main stock would then plummet and the dividends usually prove to be worthless.

Another gimmick that worked for awhile was the old forward split announcement. People like to think that they can get more of something for free so that type of PR usually would also result in a buying frenzy and sometimes the price of the stock would absolutely fly!

After awhile both of these scenarios fizzled out. Many people realized what would happen and the old dividend and forward split scenarios didn't have as much pop as they once did.

CMKX seems to be trying a new strategy. I guess we can call it the "PR before the weekend" strategy. It seems to have worked twice to get people in such a frenzy that the stock would gap up on Monday.

Was last night's PR supposed to do the same? I can't imagine that it is necessary to announce that they had shut down the message board. This warranted a PR?

I bought CMKX knowing that there were many red flags but as each day goes by the red is getting brighter and brighter.

Last night's PR was a little one but some of the scenarios that I have seen it being twisted into are truly Twilight Zone material.
