The big dogs did not buy in order to get a tax write-off in this case, though I do respect your good-faith attempt to understand the implications of the current situation.


The only people that sold to get a tax write-off were those that had already been holding. Nobody is going to just buy -in fresh to lose real cash that was just invested, especially with no guarantee that there investment would get to $0 before the eoy. Nice try, but once again you're questions are not precise and your arguments are not supported. Thanks for playin' !
