Canopius Group Limited Annual Report 2007 as noted on page 74

Company acquisitions

In conjunction with the reinsurance to close of Syndicate 839, on 25 February 2008, the Group’s wholly-owned subsidiary Canopius Holdings UK Limited acquired the entire issued share capital of LaSalle (United Kingdom) Limited, Pebbles 123 Limited, Trenwick UK Holdings Limited and Chartwell Advisers Limited (“the acquired companies”) and their obligations(debts and loan notes) to third parties.
