Crisp is a great player and still is! Crisp wants to play full time and the Red Sox are willing to use their players in the farm system and sign free agents where needed. With Bay and Drew signed in the corners and Ellsbury as a CF, they're looking pretty good! Ellsbury is still learning and has a lot of upside!

Good caliber relievers are very difficult to get, and expensive on the free agent market! This helps the team. Personally, I would have liked to see Crisp stay with the team! But you can't have a guy making the money he does as the platoon man.
