You were correct about HTC losing the Ipaq 6300..

The H6000 series which will be manufactured by Compal, becomes only the second iPAQ Pocket PC that will not be manufactured by High Tech Computer (HTC). The first iPAQ Pocket PC that was not manufactured by High Tech Computer was the H5400 series which was originally manufactured by LG Electronics. LG eventually lost its production contract to HTC when it was unable to keep up with the production demand.
