Point to be made:
I much respect all political views. I find SOME merit in guys from Ron Paul to Dennis Kucinich and respect their tenaciousness and passion. It shows they care.
Most all of us do...

"It's real important that hard workers are able to make generous amounts of money. Has a poor man ever given anyone a job?"

There are very hard workers, even working harder than some well paid CEOs I will guarantee, that make minimum wage. There are some that are 'lazy', just like some well paid CEOs. I've been there before with the minimum wage crowd. Working fast food is a pain in the butt and very hard for many (it was for me).

I've been unemployed. I've worked for minimum wage. I've worked more than one job simultaneously.
I currently have friends under all 3 of the above conditions. One single mother friend is working 3 jobs.
I gave her my car awhile back when she needed it after hers basically blew up (the engine) and she had no way to get to her 3 jobs (buses and routes couldn't get her to all 3 in time).
She is not lazy and does look for work that can get her out of the daily job shuffle but as of yet she hasn't found that job, but she's also very timid and I think that's something that gets trampled on in this corporate way of life live or die society.

I've never made more than just over $20 an hour and that wasn't until last year when I got my nursing degree. Before that I hadn't come close to $20 (in fact I first earned over $10/hour in 1996).

I'm probably lazy at times. But I try to do the right thing and work hard in general.
Luckily investing seems to be something I'm lucky at and have grown my initial amount I got from an insurance settlement into a large amount by my standards (maybe not my wife's yet LOL).
I have to make 20% a year or beat the best performing avg by 5% to continue (although she/wife told me this year because I was up over 100% that I needed to beat the 20% level and I told her fine).

In part, had I not stumbled on that hit and run insurance money (when I was making minimum wage and delivering pizza BTW) or not gotten into investing then, I too would likely be struggling to make things meet these days.

Instead of bashing the poor and acting like they're just trying to grab 'our' money (sure some of them are, just as some rich are trying to grab 'our' money and IMO a lot more successful because of their often overpowering intellect and resources to get at it), why not concentrate on making ourselves better instead.

We shouldn't be so elitist.

A lot of these people you bash are just like you. Just without the luck or advantages you've had in life.

Would be interesting to kick a major lot of you over to a '3rd world country' with no money and no connections to see how life is for you. Throw in a lost hand from an accident or
maybe Down's syndrome for a leveler.

And make it so those 'in charge' happen to discriminate heavily against people without hands or with Down's syndrome (many of whom in our society can function independently and productively acting fine if people give them the chance and lately many have been getting that chance- but only somewhat lately).

Elections only guarantee that the system we've had in place continues to be the system we have in place with some minor tweaking.

Just my thoughts, no hard feelings. Just frustrated at the tone on I-Hub in general.

It (investing boards) must select for these cahracteristics to a degree or something. And I'm part of it. Ugh. May have to question myself on that.

Good luck all.
