No, I would not recommend this to a friend
When I read the product descripsion at the store I thought this would be a blessing. But no matter how we used it and how many times we read the directions, we were always 97.6. Though it appears the cost came down since we bought it, it is stil way overpriced. AND my pediatrician's office insists we get a different temp another way. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY.
