FORT LAUDERDALE, FL--(MARKET WIRE)--Oct 7, 2008 -- Sanswire Corp., a developer of lighter than air unmanned aerial vehicles, today confirmed that its previously announced corporate name change from GlobeTel Communications Corp. (Other OTC:GTEM.PK - News) to Sanswire Corp. is now effective and the Company's common stock will begin trading under the symbol "SNSR" when the market opens, Wednesday, October 8, 2008.

Sanswire Corp. common stock has been assigned the CUSIP number 801077108. Holders of common stock are not required to exchange currently outstanding stock certificates for new stock certificates.
