I got 256mb pc100 memory for my P3 inspiron 5000 from http://www.4allmemory.com/
The puter seems to recognise the memory and Dell diagnostics does not have a problem with it.However,if I put the memory in the number one slot the puter will not boot.Should I accept this memory?I have to keep 128mb I got from crucial in the number one slot.Shouldnt the puter work better with the largest memory in the number one slot?
