Hi Bruce, not trying to defend pcdoc, as I have never run it, nor am I trying to downplay Ace, I haven't tried it ether. But I am curious here. You said you ran Ace just before you ran PCDoc. I take that Ace did not pick up on any left over registry strings concerning Real player or Smart FTP when you ran it. But when you ran PCDoc it picked up 44 missing files in active x and one htt file as missing. Somewhere there is a list of files that should be on your computer( I would think this would be in the registry) but it could be elsewhere. When you deleted the two programs, I assume you uninstalled them and not just erased files. The uninstall program should have removed the files and directories and registry settings, of course they forget to do this which is why we have programs like Ace, to clean up after them. If Ace cleaned up the registry setting, where did pcdoc find settings leading to missing active x files? Should not Ace have cleaned that list up also? I think one or both programs are missing settings somewhere on your machine that need cleaning up.It may be worth while to send them a email asking what is up with that.
