right...but it something that they have been doing for years to create liquidity. FED infusion spikes when market is in trouble...the difference this time around is that they are not buying buying/selling treasury backed securities, they are buying/selling mortgage backed suckurities. i guess they are finding good use of all those recent 'acquisitions'. lol

there is a link/chart i had somewhere that shows it pretty clearly. will try to find it and post..
