If the inventor works for a company where the inventor has already turned their rights over TO the company as part of being an employee, then the person no longer has any rights to the patent. Remember, Bruno's patent application and rights went into Bankruptcy court and was bought by BCS. So, technically

(a) bruno filed while an employee
(b) that filing was part of the assets of the co
(c) BCS bought all of those assets.
