Thanks swami interesting stuff..... but the HiSentinel are meant to be disposable

This quote is from the article written by Eric Schechter...

http://www.isrjournal.com/story.php?F=3633681

“Unlike other stratospheric concepts, the HiSentinel ships are launched in a semi-flaccid state, carry only a modest payload and are meant to be disposable.”

Now... from the DOD / Congress report it says... reusability

“Ongoing efforts have considered whether HAA can effectively and efficiently perform persistent 24/7 surveillance of U.S. East and Gulf coasts,” the notice continues. “The platform . . . would offer long-term persistent performance at a lower cost when compared with existing or projected systems. This funding demonstration would evaluate the HAA’s effectiveness at 60,000 feet; its ability to carry a 50-pound payload; and its endurance, reusability and speed.”

Also this from Erik Schechter’s article...

"The U.S. Army is exploring two potential platforms, the HiSentinel and the High-Altitude Airship (HAA), and other ideas also are in circulation."

Maybe this HiSentinel “platform” is too “balloonish” to be called the “High-Altitude Airship (HAA)... (I don’t know)

And with that being said we know that... “Lockheed Martin’s proposed High Altitude Airship will need another year or two to build a demonstration model.”

So in conclusion... if in fact the HiSentinel isn’t the HAA in question and as WarpCore61 said the DoD was at our demonstrations in Stuttgart as well... then maybe it is our Technology they want to see more of

Interesting times...
