JPMorgan Chase & Co. (JPM) is in advanced talks to buy Washington Mutual Inc. (WM), American Banker reported Friday, citing sources. Jamie Dimon, chief executive of JPMorgan, and Alan Fishman, the new chief executive of WaMu, are involved in the discussions.
