Meme, as usual, GREAT READ!
It's nice to see an article about the FUTURE of the Internet for a change, instead of the past!
IMHO, watch for this statement to be the most INCORRECT over the next five years...
David Simon, CEO, RecordTV
"TV right now is where music was a year ago. It's ultimately a losing battle. Everyone with a tuner card will become mini-RecordTVs and mini-Gnutellas that they can't stop or sue. They can't keep burying their heads in the sand; otherwise a year from now they'll be in the same boat as the music companies. I'm not excited by interactive TV. People who are watching television don't want to interact. Someone watching Friends who sees a sweater they like and could buy it -- I don't see much interest in that stuff. The people who are shopping on the Internet do shopping. For people who don't shop online, watching a TV show is not going to entice them to shop."
DIG's WHOLE SUCCESS could be in this one aspect alone.
