jai, I purchased a cdma2000 phone over a year ago from Verizon. This is considered 3g according to the standards, although from my perspective, the connection speed is not all that great. So your assumption is not correct about 3g not being sold in this country. In addition, it is worrisome that there are tens of millions of cdma2000 phones which have been sold throughout the US and Asia and to date we have not signed any significant cdma2000 player although we have essential IPR in all modes of 3g. I wish we knew what the strategy is, and I would imagine there is a very strong reason for selecting LU.
