Berge-man, you can run MS Excel in Linux - Using WINE or CrossOver Linux

"Running MS Excel on Linux?
CrossOver Linux offers us a chance to run our favorite software on Linux. It’s a cool and easy tool to use and I must admit I was surprised to see how well it works. It requires a legal copy of MS Excel."

Wine is FREE, CrossOver Linux is $40 or $70, depending on whether you want standard or Professional version!!
WINE,though free, can run "a lesser range" of MS programs and may be a little harder to s/u the MS program.
