don't listen to any of them, you have scottrade? you can buy using those funds whether they are settled or not, you just cant sell them until the settlement date, the reason it didnt work was because it was a market order, you have to use a limit order, enter a limit order at the price you want and dont do all or none and you should be fine, let me know
