Finally some sanity has settled in this week. I have been watching and holding for a long time. The last few months have been crazy as every good news day brought new drops in price. The trading has been wild with big swings and shorting ad nauseum. (I checked the shorts this morning and nearly had a cardiac.... sheese.)

One thing I have been hoping to see was the price settling and then beginning a slow and gradual climb. That builds a base, allows the MM's to trade every tick and gives time for those that just gave up to decide if this if finally for real.

I also wanted to hear from Mel on what the plan is and he is all over the place giving good hints on what he expects. (Good to see his face again as he has been very quiet for months, gridlocked on the merger and not growing the business full tilt.

Now we need the bottom line to close on the black and not more red. (This is still not there but looks hopeful.) Sorry, but time to take the shorters and flippers out of the picture. That will not fully happen until the bottom line is black. Volume is dropping back and the flippers are slowing down. I don't want to see some price.... 1.50, 1.60 and zoom. That is just more flipping..... Slow and steady keeps everyone happy, disciplined traders, MM's, institutions, and longs.

Next step will be to see the financials for SIRI/XM, not SIRI. I liked what I saw for SIRI, but that is no longer the company. It is about what the combined company is doing at this point. I will be eagerly awaiting the first official report of the combined companies.

JMHO.... GLTA

P.S. 2009 car models will soon be hitting the showrooms. Many will offer better gas mileage and those that need to ditch the massive gas hog will be out looking. Some will buy, many are still stuck for another year with some note that they can not get out of yet. However watch carefully to see if the car sales tic up between now and Xmas. Watch for an onslaught of EV cars in 2010.

I wrestled with reality for years, Doctor, and I'm happy to state, I finally won out over it. (Jimmy Stewart in "Harvey" 1950)
