Perhaps one of the locals can help me understand something. I posted this yesterday and am still waiting for a reasonable reply:

"And no one has yet been able to explain why Berlin didn't get involved in trying to purchase the property well in advance of the mill closing. Certainly it didn't come as a surprise. If there are real estate moguls in the town surely they would have had a vision for development of the property before Laidlaw got involved."
