I think I understand now. At first we were told that PBLS was so poorly managed, that they lost almost all of their assets and revenues. Later, (in some cases later the same day) we are told that Paul and Carolyn are in reality sneaking big bags of money consisting of company profits, out the back door of the offices at 504 Water Street, throwing the money into the back of their Bentleys, and then driving around the block only to bring the bags of money back to 504 Water Street, sneaking the money back into the office and then investing the cash into a shadow company that happens to share the same name as existing companies at the same address.
Meanwhile back at the farm, the Duke boys are trying to figure out how to get Uncle Jessie’s mortgage payment to the bank before it closes at noon.
