If they're already losing 200K a quarter, where else they gonna get the 55K that needs to be wired to cornell by the 10th of each month... Cornell isn't gone, they're still there getting their payments each month from the company who'll be dumping to pay them.... it's 6 of one, half dozen of the other... end result is still the same.
