Charleston, SC. August 4, 2000 - (Business Wire) - Struthers Inc. (OTC BB:
STRU) and its subsidiary, Legred Struthers Genetics Inc. (LSG) are pleased
to congratulate Jonathan Beyer of Minnesota on his 2000 Grand Champion 4-H
project shown at the County Fair. Jonathan's LSG market hog out-placed all
other swine, not only in the live show, but in the performance category as
well. The market hog showed exceptional feed conversion over other pigs by
a substantial margin, growing 2.24 lbs per day. The LSG hog also was
awarded the top honors for lean cut ability carcass with a percent lean of
61.46, while the swine industry averages approximately 53.2 % lean.
At the same show Jonathan's brother Luke and his LSG hog scored second place
with reserve champion honors with an equally impressive percentage lean of
61.1. These honors allow both Jonathan and Luke to advance to the Minnesota
State Fair.
