As many know, I have been a proponent of patent filings to support shareholder value, forever. It was a huge bone of contention between me and Tim Huff at the last SHM. He said no, I said yes.
After all, I had managed to convert 4 patent filings into two lucrative partnerships...what did he know? He had none...
I recall today, my lunch with Jon L. last September. Of course, I raised the issue of patents, and wanted his opinion and legally, of their importance going forward for GTEM and its shareholders.
He absolutely told me he was in total appreciation and understanding of their value...not only for contract security, but for any hope of partnership merit going forward...licensing royalties, etc. At the time, I thought we were on the same page, but I also knew he knew how much of an important issue it was for me...so he could have been placating me.
Today, he and I are vindicated.
He delivered the goods.
Those of you who do not realize how big this announcement is in reality, cost, and importance of protection and potential upside to your investment in this stock, I understand. But it really is a big deal.
I think, but I need clarity, there are two patent filings in this announcement that benefit us.
One is the assignment of registration of the main German patent, and a subsequent filing of a "utility" patent.
Both belong to Sanswire...thru Sanswire-Tao.
Any partner of note who would be interested in investing any serious money in this venture going forward, would require "hard" knowledge that patent filings have been made, as any reasonable condition of investing funds.
This is a giant step in that direction...
