This is from another norwegian article. Birdsteps Mobile IP Client software were used by several companies at 3GSM in Cannes in February. Motorola who are in talks with Birdstep were one of the companies used their software. Others were companies like Ericsson, Intel, Cisco, Nortel and Alcatel which allready have offical partnerships with Birdstep. Regarding the University project from T-Mobile (Deutsche Telekom): This is an article where Birdstep CEO Jørgen Bredesen confirms that they are involved in this project. The article which I showed you earlier is from 6.May this year, so its a HUGE possibility that things are going well with the T-Mobile Birdstep relationship:

This is from an older article (2/3 2004)

To interessante annonseringer

TRANSLATION TO ENGLISH
Birdstep attended the 3GSM event i Cannes last week. The achievment for the norwegian mobile company were good, they were present at both Intel and Motorolas stand and others.

-"You get a different feedbasck when you`re at stand together with companies like INTEL. Beacuse people take INTEL`s aprove as a proof of the quality of our technology," Bredesen says to Imarkedet

-"Motorola is new, what are you doing with them"?

-"We were invited to their stand. It is nothing commercial here yet," Bredesen says to Imarkedet

Two interesting annoucement

Bredesen says there was to interesting announcement
To interessante annonseringer during the event.

One was that Deutsche Telekom confirms that the WLAN technology can be rolled out as a complementary technology to the 3G (CDMA and UMTS) technology. Therfore it seems that the german company won`t stand in the way of the breakthrough for certain (Tainor thinks WLAN!!)technologies. They large mobile operators have been working against 3G competing technology until now.

Bredesen Confirms that Birdstep are in talks with Deutsche Telekom

-"We can confirm that we are aware of their project," Bredesen says to Imarkedet

He continues, and tells that there haven`t been taking any final decision concerning the Deutsche Telekom project.

"There are no conclusions here yet. They are still runing pilots," Bredesen tells.
