I'm not sure if its the food that gets them in the door. They can get food anywhere. Though I agree it acts as a safety net because a consumer would obviously say, "Well if the place sucks at least we'll fill our need of food." The novelty of ordering from a computer and playing game would be what sparks their interest unless the message is distorted and don't know what the place is about as new things are always misinterpreted.
Awareness/interest= novelty of games/screens/new place
Trial= Their entire dining experience.
Adoption/Evaluation= They decide if all aspects of the experience were satisfactory. The games are an added bonus and revenue stream. I doubt they are spectacular enough to be the sole reason to come back if the food/service was lacking.
I don't know if this is right, its just how I see it.
