I'll throw in my two bits. I owned TIV a couple of years ago. They have a very LONG string of dusters. They went several years trying to hit the big one.....and failed. They hyped their plays and made money from organizing private partnerships that funded the deals. TIV only kept a small percentage of each deal so their risk wasn't that great.

Notice their oil/gas production before this heavy oil deal?? Very modest for a company that's been drilling since 1972 and raising millions of dollars for all those years. Losing money every year. So I'm glad they finally decided to produce something but I don't particularly trust mgmt. I made a 4 bagger off the stock but still don't trust them. Bobwins
