Perihelion should take them to the BAR! ????

Anyone have a copy of the disputed contract between Burr & Foreman and Perihelion?

http://dockets.justia.com/docket/court-alndce/case_no-2:2008cv00526/case_id-122315/

I'm no lawyer, but I have had to go up against multi-nationals before over a contract agreement, my lawyer thought I didnt stand a chance, till I pointed out areas where the other party didnt comply.

Its almost impossible to write a contract to be iron clad, put on your creative thinking caps Perihelion and read the contract with fresh eyes. Fact is a contract doesnt work when parties dont get along. Oh I have had my fair share of lawyers who were incompetent and also needed to be fired. If I were Perihelion I would lodge complaints against the disputed law office for unfair charges and incompetence. I would take the complaints straight to the Bar association which regulates lawyers and put the heat on them. With my dealings with lawyers I got tired of the constant letter writing campaign just for lawyers to make a buck. The constant bilking of funds for a $25 fax when you know it doesnt cost anything near that. Using me as a business to make money unfairly rather then actually doing the task I paid them for and had a basic agreement about.

If your not happy with a lawyer you should be able to fire them, rather then being tied up in a convoluted contract that benefits the lawyers who write it. As a company or person with less knowledge of the legalese, Perihelion maybe able to get out of that contract if the Bar association which regulates lawyers deems that the lawyers were working in their best interests rather then serving the public to benefit society.

jmho. Its worth looking into and may save Perihelion some money, after all the law firm has more money to lose then Perihelion likely does.

Good luck Perihelion and do your best to get through these rough spots.
