It could be more than mere failed memory, it could be a lack of understanding of something. Can you help me to answer the following question?

If something like IP or intangible property, as the case may be, is purchased and expensed, does it not become an asset in the future that can be listed as such in a 10K? This was what I was assuming, but that could be wrong.

I honestly don't know, so I would appreciate learning of this.
