what the heck, I'll jump in. I think you are both correct. The demonstrator was mid altitude. What has changed I think is that it is no longer a demonstrator. The stratellite has morphed into the wormy thing and all the hardware just got shuffled like a deck of cards with no formal explanation of changed purposes.

Sort of like it's been revised for a new set of eyes and to heck with the old eyes because they will either love it as they love all things Globetel or make criticisms that can't be logically addressed, as conscientious business people would logically address them.
