Nerd..in simple language; if you flip a (legitimately minted) coin 99 times and it comes up heads every time, the odds of it coming up tails on the 100th flip are still 50 / 50. The past history has no bearing on the odds going forward.

Don't try to tell that to a lot of the gamblers in the world, but the truth is they lose more money than the gamblers who understand this.
