we`re comparing apples & oranges.The seam that the other company we were discussing has mainly low grade steam coal.Met coal or otherwise known as coking coal or indrustial grade coal is much higher.High grade Met is bringing up to $300 per short ton.The chart that shows central appalachian coal at $117 is an average of all the coal mined in that region.It is not the price of stean or met coal,but rather an average for both collectively for that region.This is confusing a lot of people.Since most mines dont have a high percentage of Met coal it brings the average down.Hope you can understand that.This is why your getting conflicting prices.Each mine is different from the next in the composition.
