If I had a big demonstration like that, and if I knew it would make or break the company, you can best be sure I'd know it can fly and do its thing before I sent it up there in front of the bigwigs. So what if there's no record of those tests in Germany? Who said those tests had to happen in Germany? Europe's small, you can be in 5 or 6 countries within a few hours drive.
