Good Morning all,

Been watching the board for awhile before Sheff was kind enough to ask me to officially come aboard.

Someone who is new could become overwhelmed by the number of stock picks and DD that is on the board.

People of course want winners and that is human nature but which winners do they chose and how do they chose which stocks over other stocks?

I think first decide your risk reward and how much initially you want to put into a stock. The hardest part is doing your own DD work and then complimenting that with other DD that people do on a stock.

Ask yourself why am I investing in this particular stock. At what price will I get in and at what price will I exit. Ask yourself are you getting in because a Sheff or a Stervc or someone else mentions it.

Lets say you do buy a stock because a particular person mentions it and does great DD. What if it is a loser and you put your money into it because they have a great track record and you were going to ride their coattails. Can you bear it if you lose money on someone else's work and were lazy so to speak.

In the OTC and pinks everyone is a hero on any given day and on another day they are not.

A few other things and most of you probably already know this but for those who don't maybe it will help you grow your account instead of see it waste away.

Take profits always. Yes there are those on message boards that do hold for the long haul and some for a short time and of course some for a very short time even minutes and hours. So when you have a profit take some off the table. There will be a new stock come along within minutes, hours or days.

Also when people are saying weeeeeeeeeeeee and to da moon that probably means they are selling while they are hoping you have orders in to hold the price up so they can exit. Now I personally hate the W and M word as it usually is the opposite of what is going on behind the scenes. Not always but just be aware when you see that kind of exuberance going on it may be a good time for you to be very attentive to the market price.

Not saying everyone who says the W and the M word are trying to sell but at least be aware of emotions on a message board and secure your money and profit because most people do not care about your portfolio they care about theirs.

Buy low...try to buy on the bid if possible and sell on the ask. Support the price and see if you can buy as low as possible. This may not always happen and if a stock is moving and you decide to buy you may have to buy at the ask.

Learn as much as you can with charts and other tools. Level 2 is a must if your going to prosper in this market IMHO. It will save you bucks.

Remember the cash in your account is cash and not just a chip put down on a table with no intrinsic value like in Las Vegas. That can lead to some very unwise stock moves if you forget that cash value.

At the end of the day ask yourself. Have I invested in an honest and sincere way and been an asset on the message boards by not deceiving my fellow man.

I am not naive enough to think that there are not many in this market with other motives who do not look for an unfair advantage to make money. All I am asking you individually is to trade with integrity since you would also wish the person next to you to trade with the same integrity and allow an even playing field.

If just one person reads this and choses to trade with integrity in how they act and how they post one by one it can change the dynamic of a message board and make those who do trade with integrity the majority and not the minority IMHO.

If you are already trading with integrity and the above post is nothing new to you then kudos.

Have a nice stock day.

Brent
