AVAN is an example of a company that made a reverse stock split only to see its stock gain appreciably afterwards...

On 3/10/08 AVAN had a 1:12 Reverse Stock Split when its stock was trading at $0.63. Following that, the stock started trading at $7.41 and has been essentially on a tear since then reaching a high of $19.79 today. It is true that the news today was good but I can easily see GTCB following that same path...

Do not dismiss the reduction in the float as a stock driver following good news because new investors will start to have to fight over a small amount of available shares which can easily cause a sizable spike. I realize that the dollar amount would not change in an RS split but the psychology of owning shares in even lots makes a low float much more amenable to spikes on good news...

I am now once again leaning to voting for allowing the RS...
