CKSLA/emit - Not so fast on discounting PTSC. A few years ago, after I got an article on PTSC's Shboom microprocessor published, Jim Lunney (PTSC Pres. at the time) told me that they were working with IBM. Since then, their microprocessor has been improved, and still appears the most efficient one out there for running JAVA. So, granted, rather slim possibility, but a possibility none-the-less! However, it seems to me that in a telematics application they'd have room and power for other alternatives using more prominent hardware, but you never know....
