Win3.1's DOS PROMPT (versus) WinXP's Command Prompt

Old farts like me know Windows 3.1's DOS PROMPT is a seperate
operating system like a black & white room without windows.

Under Windows 3.1 I made a simple & little text file search program
that I coded and build under Window's 3.1 SDK.

Now that I have a pc with WinXP, I loaded this program onto
the hard drive and entered WinXP's Command Prompt environment
and ran this DOS 5.0 built program sucessfully searching into
a text file that arrived within the pre-installed Windows XP.

Seems that old DOS programs still run on WinXP's Command Prompt.

But then I may be the only person outside Inner Mongolia to care :o)

But I did notice that entering WinXP's Command Prompt from Start
did not come up in full screen mode, but a ¼ window with tiny fonts,
and doing a Max made it only a ½ window with same too small text.

I finally bumbled around and stumbled upon a menu that allowed me
to change those defaults.

Able to set the following, plus more.
- font size and color
- background color
- full screen mode

If anyone from Inner Mongolia wants to know how to do this,
please just reply to this post and I'll post a public "how to."
