As a regular lurker I want to chip in with a few words of appreciation and awe at JimQH’s prognosticative gifts he shares with us. In that respect I find it odd that some have responded with a “thanks for what” attitude towards his efforts. I suppose the unreasonable expections that the call was for an absolute bottom might have left some dissapointed. But I for one, even as a wannabe active investor, took his calls to merely forecast rips and dips and not absolute tops or bottoms. The precision date-wise is what is oh-so-impressive. Three days ago when dow was @13k there might have been many hand-wringing calls for corrections, but it was mostly a "one of these days" kind of fuzzy prognostication.
While I am at it, thanks to joe, pantera, opnion (your spot-on call on GE pre-earnings was simply amazing) and Zeev (RIP) for all the “not always right” but sincere, selfless and oftentimes profitable contributions. I owe you all my karmic dues.
