It is very difficult, and not at all cost effective, for the small investor to naked short stocks in the US, Forrest. But that doesn't mean that it's impossible. For multiple reasons, it's beyond the reach of the gulliblers who get caught up in these kinds of scams. When a GeneMax or a CMKM Diamonds pump'n'dump scam gets orchestrated, the promoters know that they're going to be taking down gulliblers a couple thousand dollars at a time. Naked short selling with such a small amount of capital makes no sense.

However, if you can put together a decent pool of half a million dollars or so, it is a strategy that becomes feasible. You don't have to be super wealthy, and you don't have to bribe anyone. And, yes, I have naked short sold securities in the past and continue to do so.

So, once again, Forrest, had I been able to line up a position against CMKM Diamonds, a position that obviously would have been completely profitable, what would YOU or anyone else do about it?
