so you just substitute the negative words?

for another word which has roughly the same meaning but just doesn't sound as bad? Can you give us some examples? Instead of calling someone a stupid idiot would you just say that they aren't smart? Instead of calling someone a big fat liar you might say that they don't tell the truth or they're a little fibber? I'm trying to learn how to do this type of acceptable backhanded type of communication that is okey dokey. I'm speaking in general terms. My post is directed to everyone. I'm seriously interested in learning how to say the same thing in a politically correct way.
