Medchal. The engineer needs a topographic map with contour intervals of no more than 2 feet. That can be done with traditional ground survey crews or ariel mapping. I don't know if Google's map service is able to give that kind of contour infomation.

To me it shows a serious degree of ignorance if Drake thought they could do the engineering required for a mining permit, in house. Any time they spent trying to do it without engineering support was wasred time.

MC, You asked. My first 9 years were in surveying and civil design & construction. 24 years in Petro construction, reifneries, pipelines & offshore platforms. The remainder were mostly in environmental remediation, mostly "dig & haul" projects. The most pertinemt, to what Drake claims to be doing, was as Facilities Construction Manager on the Alumbrera copper / gold mine in Argentina. A billion dollar + project.

Finally, I think it's a shame that some regular make posts that , IMO, are unrealistically "optomistic". One said he thinks the time line for permitting and zoning will be closer to 2 to 3 months , than the 4 to 6 months, Drake claims. What could that thought be based on? Drake's record of under promise, over deliver? Another said he believes that packaging and assembly of mining equipment have been uderway for a long time. Is it reasonable to think that a small manufacturer, like Dove, would have expend time, resources, storage space and money on equipment that wasn't going to be installed for 8 to 10 months, at least?
