Organic Growing Systems Hires New President/CEO and Chief Operating Officer
Tuesday April 15, 8:12 am ET


ALPHARETTA, GA--(MARKET WIRE)--Apr 15, 2008 -- Advanced Growing Systems, Inc. (OTC BB:AGWS.OB - News), announces today the hiring of Mark D. Nichols as President/CEO of Organic Growing Systems, Inc. ("OGSI"), a subsidiary of AGWS. The board also promoted John Strickland to the position of Chief Operating Officer for OGSI.

Mark Nichols has over 30 years management experience in the landscape industry and was instrumental in bringing the organic fertilizer product to OGSI. Mr. Nichols will be responsible for the overall operations of OGSI and will also oversee the marketing and selling functions. Mr. Nichols was responsible for growing one of Atlanta's largest landscaping companies from $3 million operation to a $10 million operation during his 10+ years with the company. Dan Dunn, CFO of Advanced Growing Systems, commented, "Mark brings a passion for business as evidenced by his past successes and his dedication to excellence. I believe that his experience, leadership, and vision are the necessary ingredients that will bring OGSI to the next level."

John Strickland has been actively involved in the landscaping industry for over 30 years. Mr. Strickland has experience managing and growing his own company, Strickland Scape, Inc. and will bring the operating leadership that OGSI needs during its period of rapid growth. Mr. Strickland has also held many chairman and leadership roles with several industry associations including Metro Atlanta Landscape and Turf Association (MALTA), Georgia Green Industry Association (GGIA) and Atlanta's Environmental Awards Program. Currently, Mr. Strickland is chairman for both the Georgia and Alabama Certified Landscape Professional Programs, which are designed to educate professional landscapers and test their proficiency.
